This explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short, because we collect very little.
Who we are
be braver Ltd, trading as be braver hosting, is the data controller for the information described here. Company number 06612298, registered office Crown House, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, WC1N 3AX. We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under ZA907119. What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email address, and whatever you put in your message.
- When you book a call: the details you give the booking form.
- When you become a customer: the information we need to provide and bill for the service.
- When you visit this site: privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics (see below). We don't build a profile of you.
How we use it
To reply to you, to provide and bill for our services, to keep records we're legally required to keep, and to look after your website and email. Nothing more. We never sell your data.
Our legal bases
We rely on: performing our contract with you (to provide the service); our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the business honestly; your consent where you've given it; and legal obligation where the law requires us to keep records.
Analytics
We use Static Host UK's privacy-friendly analytics. It counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across other websites, and doesn't collect data that identifies you personally.
Forms
Our contact and booking forms are handled by Static Host UK and protected by Altcha, a privacy-friendly alternative to CAPTCHA that doesn't track you. Messages you send reach us by email.
Where your data lives
Our website and email run on infrastructure in the UK (Krystal) and Switzerland (Infomaniak). Switzerland is recognised by the UK as providing an adequate level of data protection. Our providers don't mine your data for advertising or use it to train AI.
Who we share it with
Only the providers who help us deliver the service — our hosting and email providers (Krystal, Infomaniak), our forms and analytics provider (Static Host UK), and our payment provider. We don't share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry messages: up to 24 months. Customer and billing records: while you're a customer and for six years afterwards, as UK tax law requires. We delete what we no longer need.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can object to certain uses. Just email us. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk), though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
